Dating App
First Product Designer on a new dating app, voice-based, from the idea to an MVP ready to launch. Supported by the Founder and a fullstack developer; it was a 5 months project on which I worked as a freelancer.
Process
Concept
Collaborated with the founder on defining the experience mechanism, from initial idea to structured flow. Built around voice as the starting point of a relationship, the concept guides users through hearing, feeling a connection, exchanging, and gradually discovering each other.
Benchmark
Conducted a benchmark across major dating apps, including Tinder, Happn, Bumble and Fruitz, to identify common design patterns, interaction conventions and user expectations.
User tests
Wireframed and prototyped the three main feature flows to support user testing sessions. Feedback gathered from these tests informed iterations on the concept and helped validate the MVP direction before moving into final design.
Design
Designed the full MVP from scratch and delivered a comprehensive flow documenting the full user experience.
Concept testing
As a new concept, Voxlov introduced specific challenges on core flows, requiring each step, from profile creation to exchanges, to be built around a voice-based system.
Validating the concept with real dating app users before moving forward was therefore essential.
To do so, I wireframed and prototyped three key flows, using an existing free design system (EVA) to save time, and conducted user testing sessions to gather early feedback.
Results were mixed, surfacing three important areas for improvement: the flows were too long, too complex, and did not meet male users' expectations.
Identity and User Interface
Following these findings, we iterated on the concept by significantly reducing flow length, narrowing the feature scope and challenging the initial restriction around picture visibility.
A second round of user testing allowed us to validate the revised direction.
With the concept confirmed, I reworked the wireframes accordingly and established the foundations of the visual identity before moving into the full application UI design.

I designed all screens covering the full experience, across its different states, interactions, and edge cases.
